Although we’ve been contemplating it for a while, we were waiting for the day the news would drop: Amber Rose’s engagement to rapper Wiz Khalifa. Many saw it coming. And for quite a few reasons, this is all urban gossip sites will be talking about for a while. This is perhaps because for the most part, both Wiz and Amber represent what we like to call Bad Boys and Bad Girls. And when these particular personalities discover holy matrimony, it’s always cause for pause. Here’s why this crazy love connection strikes our fancy so…
They seem genuinely happy together.
They both love tattoos and really dig extreme PDA. In fact, they’re not shy about much. There are few photos of these two in which they don’t have huge grins on their faces. Most experts would say that this is an example of two people who are thrilled to be together.
He really loves his Mama.
Despite the endless teasing that he’s received for Tweeting of him and his mother-it’s evident that Mom and son share a loving, playful relationship. We’re not exactly calling Wiz a Mama’s Boy. But that he’s so close to her is quite endearing. Even bad boys love their mamas.
She seems really sweet.
Amber’s appearance on “The Wendy Williams” show shed quite a bit of light on her tumultuous relationship with rapper Kanye West, her ability to be discreet in her private life, and her general desire for love and marriage. The world finally realized that behind this aloof and voluptuous persona is a simple person with tender sensibilities. Wiz has obviously seen this side of her, as they’ve inseparable for more than a year.
But they’re not exactly role models either…
She may be sweet. But she hasn’t built a name for herself in urban Hollywood for no reason. The world has gotten more than a little peek at Amber in all her naughty glory. And Wiz—well, we’ll just say that most parents wouldn’t consider him the poster child for law and order. It’s perhaps for these reasons that we like them together.
They’re a match made in Heaven.
They’re both tall (She’s 5’9″; he’s 6’4″) She’s bleached and curvy. He’s dark and lanky. Somehow, it’s their obvious differences that make them perfect compliments to one another. We love their wild, urban elegance and their ability to make us appreciate their “tiny” imperfections.
